YOUR ROOTS

Heres a story about understanding and respecting your roots.

In China, there lived a man, who was honest and giving. He has two sons, both were very different,

They loved the youngest son the most, not because he's the youngest, but was the one who

worked hard at school and achieved the best grades. On the other hand the oldest son did not do so well who kept disappointing the family to the point he lefted home at the age of 18 because everytime they sat together, they kept arguing. The parents though, well we have another son who keeps us proud, we don't mind losing one son! As time passed by each son had there own lifes to lead, the youngest son worked in an investment bank

and was earning allot of money. The eldest son was a photographer working for a newspaper company who was not earning as much money as his younger brother. One day the father passed away and went direct to heaven because he was a good and happy man. He was chatting one day to an angel telling them how proud he was everytime he thought of his son and that all his hard work was worth it. He then asked the angel to see how his two sons are getting on with there lives. The angel directed him back to earth where he is buried.There he sees his photo with three Incense sticks burning next to it, there he sees his oldest son bowing down infront of his photo, He was very happy to see that his son has not forgotten about him, he then waited and waited for his youngest son to turn up, but he did not seem to turn up, he then asked what happened to my youngest son, how come he has not come to visit me? The angel replied and said he did not come and to visit you. The father was disappointed and asked why? Because you have spoilt him from a young age, so he became arrogant and selfish.

You expected allot from him so he found it very hard to accept failure and did not respect people. He was earning allot of money but was not able to use that money properly and was creating allot of bad deeds. The angel then said your elder son was overall a very good person, he was honest, humble, giving and always training the his heart and morals of becoming a better person. He respected people so it gain him respect in return, his good deeds enable him to earn allot of money and he was using it in a good way to help his family and other people. The father was shocked and did not know how to react to what he had just heard. The angel then said let me direct you further into the future. There he sees his photo again with three Incense Sticks burning, he then look down to see who was burning those sticks for him. There he sees a man bowing down three times infront of his photo, he then grab another three sticks which he then lighted them up and placed them on another stone, which was his eldest sons stone, he then asked who is this fellah? The angel replied, it is your grandson, your eldest

sons son. Your grandson did not forget your sons words which was "no matter what, you must respect your roots, they worked very hard to raise you up? I had many problems with my parents in the past but no matter what I will always respect them because they are my parents".

There are many important facts in this story which I hope will inspire you and to make your life more happier.

We must keep this loving attitude in respecting your roots. Maybe allot of you and your parents are going through

problems in relating to eachother and always arguing to get eachothers points across but if you do not respect and let go, problems will only keep on getting worse. Remember to love your parents, if not many hard work from your ancestors and parents will all be wasted. Money is not everything, use it wisely. Many parents I know work so hard to save money for there children and next generations but if you don't teach them to be a good person, you are not helping them instead you are harming them. No matter how much money your earning, thousands, millions or even billions you will always be you, meaning your roots will always stay the same.
